Being windy, the light in the scene changed constantly and radically. It was very difficult to establish any consistency in this two hour painting. I do think, however that it evokes the hot windy environment in which I stood; sweating through my cargo pants.
A fellow stopped to watch me work. After talking a bit, it turns out he and I not only worked together years ago at AT&T, we also lived on the same street at the time in Geneva. Small world and part of the great experience of location painting!
